Re: Verbified Surnames
@paucle - Well, I tried "Wolf", "Wolfs", "Wolves" and "Wolvs" and then gave up. It just didn't occur to me that the answer might be in past tense form when the question was in present tense. Certainly not the worst misfire of late--many of our TI brethren woul...

Re: Verbified Surnames (and Charlene's attempt)
Charlene,
You REALLY need to match the tense in the answer with the one in the question if you want people to have a reasonable shot at getting it.
Thanks,
kolybear

Conservative talk show host
staley,
Sorry to mess with the flow of your question, but the relationship was father/son, not father-in-law/son-in-law. In fact, the former made much of the latter's rejecting his wealthy, well-bred high school girlfriend in favor of a hippy waitress.

staley, I think you and I may have some sort of psychic connection. I was watching a bit of Jimmy Fallon last night and thinking about this very exchange, and how it was one of the biggest belly laughs I've ever gotten in my life, and wondering why there hasn't been anything nearly as funny on talk ...

Re: to meet the guy next door
Actually, my source was my own take on the lyrics that I hand wrote on my Mom's vinyl copy of 'Liza With a Z' when I was about six. Are you saying that's not a completely credible source? (IOW, I'm sorry for the confusion I caused -- I really thought I'd written it correctly, and how could something...

Re: to meet the guy next door
Checked it. It's correct. If you're having trouble, think of the famous sisters with the same last name.

Fergie's only line
kma,
She had more than one line in that episode, talking to Chandler on Joey's camcorder and complimenting his flamboyant hat. Could you please be a little more specific as to which line you have in mind?
Thanks!

"Way to a man's heart" and "Lions take off"
Staley, Just wanted to say I'm enjoying these pun-laden questions/answers (I was trying myself to think of a way to word a question like your "lions" one). I tried one a few weeks back, but only one or two got it. It had to do with "Around the World in 80 Days." Given your pencha...

whizbang,
I don't think they were ever in a band together, and definitely not a trio.
(j/k, I got it.)
